Please share widely: needs assessment/climate survey for LGBTQ youth ages 13-25 in North Carolina, South Carolina

tranqualizer:

If you’re an LGBTQ youth in between the ages of 13 and 25 and are currently residing in North Carolina and/ord South Carolina please take a few minutes to fill out this survey.

Here is the text from the survey page:

Thank you for joining in our LGBTQ youth and young adult survey for those 13-25 living in North and South Carolina!

The survey contains questions about you including your home life and your experiences with school. We are doing this survey so we can see what the climate of our region is – how comfortable students of different backgrounds are in our area, how common certain issues are, and what our youth need most. We want to work to make our community a safer place for all of our youth. The information from the survey will tell us where we may need to improve.

We’ll put your answers together with those of other youth to give us a better understanding of our community. We ask that you complete the survey only once and it should take no more than 20 minutes.

When we tally all of the responses, we might share the summary with other LGBT youth groups in North and South Carolina. You can get a copy of the final report from staff members as soon as it is available.

To help other youth and adults learn more about LGBTQ youth in North and South Carolina, we might also use a summary of the survey responses in presentations, trainings, or articles.

As a thank you for your time and your opinion, everyone who completes the survey will be entered in a drawing for a $50 iTunes gift card! Follow the link at the end of the survey to be entered in the drawing.

Thank you again for your time and honesty in making our community more welcoming for LGBTQ youth and young adults.

Sincerely,

Time Out Youth
We won’t be able to see which answers are yours and your name won’t be linked to your answers. Because this is an anonymous survey, please do not put your name anywhere in the survey.

We hope that you will be comfortable being completely honest when answering these questions. However, if at anytime you do not feel comfortable just close your browser window.

Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us.
as far as we know, this is the first survey of its kind for LGBTQ youth in NC/SC.

Please keep sharing this as much as you can. We want to get as much information as we can from as many diverse sources. Thank you.

First page in and it’s already dripping with cissexism. They also like to conflate gender and sexuality when they ask...
